What's Happening with the Wired Solutions Team

Fall has arrived! The Wired Solutions Team decided to celebrate the turning of the leaves and the onset of the chilly weather with a fall inspired Feed the Geeks Day. Everyone on the team brought in their favorite fall dish for all to share. Judging by the way we all stuffed our tummies, we all agree that the day was a complete success.

Wired Solutions recently had a client appear on the hit CBC show The Dragons Den . Larry Brun, inventor of the Attitube, appeared on the show to pitch his exercise device that uses water as motion resistance. The Attitube was well received by the Dragons and Larry walked away with a investment from two of them.

In other exciting news, look for an update to the Wired Solutions website in the next few weeks. We think it is important to keep our website up to date and in style, so we’ve put our thinking caps on and came up with some creative ideas for the site.

The Power of Google

For the better part of a century, advertisers, business owners and marketers looked for ways to spend their advertising dollars on people that might actually be interested in purchasing their product or service. Then came Google, and along with it, Google Ad Words.

When potential customers jump on the information super highway of the World Wide Web, about 4.2 Billion of us start searching with Google according to a Neilson/Netratings study1. Google ad words come into play when your potential customers start looking for a particular service, product or business. Google Ad Words are the 'Sponsored Links' you see on the right hand side of the Google search results page. They are a form of 'Pay Per Click' Advertising that allow you to reach your target audience, and you only pay if people click your ads. In addition to this, campaigns can be set on a national or regional basis.

For new domain names, and new websites, Google Ad words are perfect for getting more traffic to your website. Combined with traditional marketing efforts and Natural Search Engine Optimization, you’ve got a powerful, targeted campaign aimed at getting more people to visit your site. Now all you have to do is make sure your website has the information your potential customers are looking for.
