What’s Happening...

When it Rains, it Pours!

Despite the soggy socks and wet sweatshirts, this year’s Relay for Life was an amazing event. Thanks to our friends, family and clients the Coders Against Cancer raised over $7200.00 and took home a bronze finish!

A big thanks to our corporate sponsors:

Mancini & Partners

The energy and passion of our team members, and everyone involved in this year’s relay was astounding. We proudly walked the muddy track at Windsor Campground, we cheered those who walked the survivor lap, and took a moment of silence as the track lit up with luminaries, remembering those who have lost the fight or are still fighting cancer.

Unfortunately mother nature just wasn’t on our side, and shortly after the luminaries were lit, those of us in tents had to pack up and leave quickly due to severe weather. Although the event was dampened, our spirits were not. The team came together for a great cause and had a wonderful experience overall.

What will the Internet look like in 10 years?

There is a good chance that you won’t turn your desktop computer on to connect to the internet in the near future. Researchers are predicting that by 2020 the mobile phone will be our main source to get online. If you haven’t caught on to “1337 speak” (leet speak) yet, or have trouble typing on the tiny key pads, don’t worry. Microsoft has started the ball rolling on surface computing and predictions are that in 10 years your cell phone will be enabled with a device that will project a full size keyboard onto any surface.

So what else might we have to look forward to: Green servers that fit in your pocket, high definition voice technology for crystal clear hearing on cell phones, controller-less video gaming, and teleportation devices that get us to work in seconds.(Okay, maybe I shouldn’t hold my breath for that last one!)
