Childzilla

Anyone with kids knows how frustrating it can be to get their children to behave or be responsible for their various chores and responsibilities. Childzilla provides parents with a fun way to provide positive reinforcement through an easy to use web application. Parents set up their child’s chores, and the Childzilla system allows the child to login to their own website and ‘check-off’ their chores as they complete them, awarding them points with each completed task. Parents can then set up prizes for the children to redeem their accumulated points.

While the whole premise behind Childzilla might be fun, there is a lot of serious programming going on that Wired Solutions developed from the ground up! We developed a custom skinning engine that allows each child to have a ‘custom’ look/feel to their website. With 100+ professionally designed templates, created in-house by our design staff, Childzilla allows children to choose the design that best suits their age and personality.

Parents can choose from pre-made chores such as “Do your homework”, or create custom chores visible only to their account and available for assignment to any of their children. Moreover, each chore can have a schedule attached to it, so they are only visible on certain days.
